The workshop
Our workshop is nestled in the countryside in the heart of Brabant Wallon. With each of us living here, it was important to us to work close to home. Local first and foremost.
We've chosen a unique place where different crafts meet: Le Manoir 100%, in Perwez. A lively and inspiring space, where we like to organize designer markets, convivial afterworks and festive guinguettes, in collaboration with other committed projects.
What we love most of all is to welcome you and share a unique moment with you! Whether it's a jewelry workshop or a colorimetry session, it's always a pleasure to share our expertise with you, whether at the workbench or comfortably seated in our color corner.
At Atelier Taohé, you'll also find second-hand furniture, colorful wooden pieces with lots of drawers containing our little treasures.
We look forward to welcoming you to our atelier-boutique !
Our values
Ethics
At Taohé, our ethics are primarily reflected in our choice of raw materials. We create our jewelry in recycled 925 silver, sourced from a Flemish supplier who recycles metals extracted from electronic devices, and in Fairtrade-certified 18k gold, sourced from Peru, guaranteeing dignified working conditions that respect both people and the environment. For stone-set creations, we exclusively use sapphire from the rivers of Auvergne in France. A rare and magnificent stone, precious not only for its beauty, but also for its local roots. We ensure a transparent and responsible supply chain, and would be delighted to discuss this with you when you visit our workshop.
Artisanal
From the first sketch to packaging, most of the creative stages are carried out in our workshop, within the limits of our resources and tools. Certain specific stages, such as gold plating or fine engraving, are entrusted to specialized partners. Our work is recognized by a unique signature hallmark, issued by the Royal Mint of Belgium, representing the “T” of Taohé accompanied by its small leaf. We have also been awarded the “Artisan” label by the Federal Public Service for the Economy, guaranteeing authentic, high-quality craftsmanship.
Local
Wherever possible, we choose to work locally. Our entire team lives close to the workshop, enabling us to react quickly and limit our ecological footprint when traveling. We work with Belgian partners for the stages we don't carry out ourselves, to guarantee 100% made-in-Belgium production. And because local also means gourmet, during our workshops we like to introduce you to local delicacies, such as those from the famous Thorembais cookie factory, located just 1 km from the workshop, or from the workshop's guinguette, with its local aperitif boards!
